A typical trivia night includes 2 games with 2 rounds each (4 rounds of trivia) typically lasts around 2 hours. If you are running out of time to finish the full game and need to end early, you can always shorten the number of rounds that are being played.

Many locations like to find local actors or stand-up comics looking for a fun weekly gig. Other locations prefer to delegate hosting responsibilities to a member of their staff that they feel is qualified. While some managers have pulled in a willing friend or family member to assist.

A fun, energetic, and appropriately loud person is the ideal host personality!

All the basic supplies that you need to host a trivia night is provided with your subscription to Deliver Me Trivia, including the game, guidelines, and marketing materials! We give you all of the know-how and instructions for how to plan a trivia night, making it easy and fun for you and your staff!

Other supplies that you’ll need are most likely items that you already have on hand, such as pencils, pens, papers, or dry erase boards to collect answers. You can also consider using a virtual method to send in answers.

It is also your responsibility to supply prizes to winning teams.

Use your creativity! We recommend providing a table, speaker, microphone, and table cover for your selected trivia host to make the event a truly professional one!

Depending on crowd sizes, a trivia game can be played by as little as two opposing players, or in as large and as many teams as you’d like.

To keep things easier and less overwhelming, though, we recommend limiting players to 15 teams, with no more than 8 players per team.

Any space can be used to host a trivia night. You can even host one virtually! In general, most of our customers host trivia nights right in their bar or restaurant and depending on space, you may want to reserve a room or separate area for the game so as to not disturb non-participating diners.

We find that an area where people can see the game happening from the dining area is best as, after their meal, they can walk to the bar area and join in on the fun!

We recommend hosting trivia games on weeknights, at a time which will help bring customers into your restaurant on slower nights, but at a time when most people are out of work and school for the day. Most locations host their trivia night between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm.

The beauty of Deliver Me Trivia is that your trivia night schedule is entirely up to you to fit the needs of your establishment!

While it’s totally up to you, background music from game shows always adds a fun touch. You can also theme the music to go with the themes of your trivia rounds, like movie soundtracks or music from specific decades, to create an immersive atmosphere.

Dressing the part of a trivia host or in keeping with the theme of a trivia round can also be fun!

If you’re worried about people cheating during the trivia games, you can ask all participants to put their phones face down on the table or other surface.

With each game packet received from Deliver Me Trivia there will be answer sheets and a bonus picture round for each player.

Within the same game packet there are Questions, Readbacks, and an Answer Key for each game and round for the host.
